NINA HAMNETT - ARTIST - QUEEN OF BOHEMIA

This hand painted and embroidered piece pays homage to the talented and unconventionally flamboyant Welsh artist Nina Hamnett, who became known as The Queen of Bohemia. In the words of Roger Fry (and I tend to agree with him after researching Hamnett’s life) she was: “The most fascinating, exciting, tantalising, elusive, capricious, impulsive, beautiful, exasperating creature in the world”.
